    Description

    The relay module is hard wired to the mains power and uses wireless RF for the control communication. To comply with Australian / NZ wiring rules a relay module should always be used when controlling circuits that require the control device to be installed in the roof space. Smart plugs should not be installed in the roof void. This module is only suitable for locating indoors, however, it can control devices which have a suitable rating that are located outdoors or in wet areas.

     

    Diagram:

    1. Wireless antenna: The wireless antenna should be screwed in tight and after installation it should point up.
    2. Manual On/Off button: To test the relay module you can press this manual on/off button to start and stop the device.
    3. Pair button: To pair the relay module to the system ensure there is power to the relay module> Press the pair button on the relay module > . At thee same time press the pair button on the App or iZone touch screen.  >The blue LED inside the module (close to the pair button) will flash rapidly to indicate the module is pairing to the system.
    4. Remove cover to expose terminals: Remove the terminal cover to expose the wiring terminal. Wire in accordance with the wiring notation on printed on the top cover. There are also wiring restraint cable ties that should be used to restrain the wiring in place. This should only be done by and electrician.
    5. Knock outs for wiring / conduits: There are two knock outs for wiring or conduits to located on the end of the module. Drill or knock out accordingly
    6. Mounting point: There are two mounting points on the relay module to allow the module to be mounted to roof timbers.

    Installation

    a)Switch the power off at the switchboard

    b)Remove the relay module from the packaging

    c)Cut the circuit to the device being controller and terminate the wiring as indicated on the casing.

    d)Test the relay and switching using the manual On/Off button on the module.

    Pairing

    e)Pair the iZone relay module to the iZone Bridge by pressing the pair button on the relay module and on the screen simultaneously.

     

    f)The blue LED adjacent to the pair button on the module will flash blue several times to indicate it is pairing.
